Form 1 News

Today we finished off the week with a bit of fun making our own jam sandwiches!  In our English lessons we have been looking at recipes and using writing as an instruction.  We learned that there are special words called ‘time connectives’ to use when we are writing instructions so that we perform the instructions in the right order otherwise we could get ourselves in quite a muddle! The girls wrote their own instructions using some fantastic phonics and beautiful handwriting and fortunately everyone was able later on to follow their instructions to make their own sandwich! The best part was of course the last instruction – ‘Then eat.’!
