Admissions

How do I apply for a place at St Hilda’s?

Thank you for your interest in St Hilda’s for your child.

We aim to make the admissions process as friendly and straightforward as possible. In the first instance, please contact our Admissions Officer, Mrs Fairhead, who can be contacted either via admissions@sthildasharpenden.co.uk or via the School telephone number, 01582 712307.

You are always welcome to visit St Hilda’s as this is the best way to find out for yourself all that we have to offer. Either Mr Sayers or the Deputy Head will be happy to speak with you and our pupils, who are very proud of their school, will be delighted to show you around.

Pupils are admitted to St Hilda’s by assessment, to identify potential, and to ensure the child is suited to St Hilda’s and to identify any individual needs. St Hilda’s recognises pupils with a genuine interest in education, with interests that stretch beyond the confines of the academic curriculum.

Upon application for admission, once the registration fee has been paid, pupils are invited to spend a day with their prospective class, which will include their assessment. Following this. an offer will be made as appropriate.
