As part of World Science Day in November, all the pupils in St Hilda’s from Nursery to Form VI had a workshop with the wonderful people from Fab Science.

Our day focussed around the magic of science and chemistry. We used experiences and chemical reactions to inflate balloons, played with dry ice bubbles and made cola shoot ten metres up into the air! We learned that the bubbled in reactions are carbon dioxide and that the water you get from boiling red cabbage is an excellent universal indicator for testing the pH of liquids.
