Holly and Ivy Christmas Wreaths

Working from life, the girls used water colours to create these lovely Christmas wreaths. We used just the paints – no pencil drawing at all. I thought they all did a wonderful job.

Willow Weaving Form III

We had our last day of Willow Weaving with Hazel Godfrey today. The girls in Form III worked outside in the Autumn sunshine. They made some beautiful pieces which are now on display in Reception.

Willow Weaving Form V

There was more willow weaving today with Hazel Godfrey and form V. The girls worked really hard to create these wonderful flowers. It was not an easy task but we helped each other, persevered and kept trying. Well done form V!

We had a lovely afternoon making pet structures for the St Hilda’s rabbits and guinea pigs. We worked with Hazel Godfrey who is an artist who specialises in Willow Weaving. We learnt about the craft and how to keep the structures neat and robust. We will be continuing with this next week!

Trip to the Henry Moore Foundation
