Skiing Success!

Huge congratulations to the St Hilda’s Ski Race Teams on their recent success in two major competitions.  After months of training and race practice, 7 members of the ski squad took part on Friday 25th April in the National Schools League Finals at Gloucester Ski Centre.  All teams raced well and recorded some good times.  There were also some individual successes: Reva came 2nd overall in the U8 category and Freya came 3rd, which are both incredible achievements at this level.

On Saturday the Ski Teams travelled to Ipswich to stay overnight in preparation for an early start at the ERSA Schools Championships on Sunday 27th April.  St Hilda’s entered three teams, and each team finished on the podium!  In Category 1, St Hilda’s A team finished in 1st place, St Hilda’s B team finished in 2nd place.  In Category 0, our C team finished in 3rd place.  Reva finished 5th overall and Freya achieved 2nd! All team members received medals and the A team were presented with a trophy which was fantastic.

A wonderful achievement by all skiers, showing great commitment, teamwork and courage.  Support from parents and their amazing coach, Alex Reidy, are very much appreciated.  Well done to everyone involved.

Come Home to St Hilda's 🕊️
For 135 years, generations of girls have walked through St Hilda’s red doors, forming friendships, creating memories and becoming part of a community that lasts long after school days are over.
To celebrate this special milestone, we are delighted to invite our alumni community to our very first St Hilda’s School Alumni Event, taking place on Saturday 19th September from 2-5pm.
Whether you left St Hilda’s recently or many years ago, we hope you’ll join us to reconnect with former classmates, families and staff, rediscover the school, and celebrate the traditions that have made St Hilda’s such a special place for 135 years.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to your school.
