Form IV

The Form IV classroom, located on the first floor of the new building, offers a warm and engaging welcome to each morning. The day begins at 8.20am and ends at 3.45pm, with wrap around care offered from 7.30am until 6pm.

All lessons are carefully tailored to the needs of each girl and we begin to prepare them for life in the upper school. There is an increased expectation in organisation and the girls are encouraged to further their independence by moving into different classrooms around the school. This enables them to best take advantage of different learning spaces such as having lessons in the dedicated STEM lab.

Form IV offers a wider range of learning opportunities than in previous years. There is an increase in specialist teaching and Latin is introduced into the curriculum. From Form IV onwards, girls are issued with French Magazines twice a term. The specialist teachers’ work together to ensure continuity across the curriculum so the children gain both depth and breadth in their learning. There is a variety of clubs open to the girls during break and lunch times, as well as after school.

Come Home to St Hilda's 🕊️
For 135 years, generations of girls have walked through St Hilda’s red doors, forming friendships, creating memories and becoming part of a community that lasts long after school days are over.
To celebrate this special milestone, we are delighted to invite our alumni community to our very first St Hilda’s School Alumni Event, taking place on Saturday 19th September from 2-5pm.
Whether you left St Hilda’s recently or many years ago, we hope you’ll join us to reconnect with former classmates, families and staff, rediscover the school, and celebrate the traditions that have made St Hilda’s such a special place for 135 years.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to your school.
