FoSH serves to build the St Hilda’s community across current and former pupils, parents and staff.
Throughout the academic year, there are a range of fundraising events organised to appeal to different interest groups. These have included wine nights, wreath making workshops, golf days, braiding classes, sponsored runs and many more.
At the end of every week, FoSH arrange a Friday Treats stall which is organised by Form parents by way of a rota. This occasion provides an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to catch up over home baked goodies and ice lollies in hotter weather.
Each term has a ‘main event’ for which participation and enjoyment are equally high.
These events often have a raffle draw for which we are grateful to families and local businesses for their donations.
During the school year, FoSH arrange a number of pupil only events which are seasonally themed. Typically, these include Christmas Card artwork projects, Winter Disco, Easter Egg Hunts and End of Year Ice Creams.
Our usual forms of communication are via the school bulletin (every Thursday) and Form WhatsApp group so do keep an eye out for what we have planned for 2025/26.
From treats every Friday, ice lollies on a hot, sunny day through to face painting and strawberries at summer functions, the annual Valentine’s disco, Easter egg hunts and the highly anticipated Christmas bazaar (featuring a very special guest!) we intend to sprinkle some extra magic on your child’s already memorable journey at St Hilda’s.
Our quiz nights, bi-annual summer ball and other fun activities mean there is also a wealth of opportunity for parents to get to know each other throughout the school year.
We are also proud to manage a second-hand uniform website for the school which raises further money for the school and charities.
You will hear from us throughout the school year via emails and newsletters from the school office or your class rep regarding forthcoming events.
For the 2024/25 academic year FoSH will be fundraising for three charities as well as to buy items for the school.
The three charities, as chosen by pupils of each of our three Houses, are Make a Wish Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Tiggywinkles.
Make a Wish Foundation serves to revive childhoods stolen by critical illness through the donation of goods, services, skills and experiences.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a cause close to many of our hearts for the care they provide to seriously ill children and young people.
Tiggywinkles, based in nearby Haddenham, is the world’s busiest wildlife hospital, caring for over 12,000 animals each year.
Last year, the school was able to purchase a new minibus with the funds raised by FoSH. Many projects are planned for the coming year, updates of which will follow on this page, in the weekly bulletin and on the FoSH noticeboard at school.
FoSH organise many events during the academic year for the children and or parents.
A list of events planned for the 2025/26 academic year is set out below. Reminders of the events and event details will be sent via Form reps and occasionally from the school office nearer the time.
Other events will be added during the year and we are always welcome to new ideas to add to the current schedule.
The online shop is open for any uniform needs. Place your order online and you will be notified via email when your order is ready to collect from the school office. Items can be exchanged or returned if they aren’t suitable.
