Reception Weekly News Dec 13th

What an amazing week we have had in Reception!

On Monday, we realised we had filled up our Jewel Jar with 164 jewels, so celebrated with a Christmas party. We loved playing Musical Chairs and Pin the nose on Rudolph. We played Pass the Parcel. Each layer had a forfeit, including telling a Christmas joke, gallop around the room like Rudolph and balance on one leg! We stopped for a very chocolatey snack before joining Nursery, Form I and II in the hall to continue festive fun. We danced with all of our friends, sisters and big girls before playing the corner game and having a visit from Father Christmas! We ended the morning with a delicious Christmas lunch.

In the afternoon, we loved watching the Travelling Panto Company performing Dick Whittington with the rest of the school.

Lily Elf has been cheeky this week. She had been washing her clothes in the bathroom and left them on the washing line! She also hid in Annie’s firework on the wall!

On Tuesday, we walked to St Nicholas’ Church to rehearse our parts in the Natvity service. We all managed so well and couldn’t wait to show our families on Thursday.

On Wednesday, we loved visiting the FOSH Secret Gift Room. We all chose beautiful gifts for our families. They were beautifully wrapped by Santa’s helpers. Thank you to FOSH for organising this for us.

Tomorrow we are taking part in the Christmas service at St Nicholas’ Church.

We have all worked so hard this half-term and deserve a rest. Have a wonderful Christmas holiday everyone. See you in the New Year!
