At St Hilda’s, we aim to foster a fascination in the past and to nurture a questioning and inquiring mind.

Understanding the reasons why people and nations acted as they did enables us to appreciate how modern civilisation and society has come about.  Our syllabus follows the National Curriculum, but also allows a broader coverage of different topics, including a study of our house system and of St Hilda’s itself, together with a study of life right up until the present day, examining the effects of change.

The girls are fortunate to enjoy a wide range of visits and trips throughout the school, including annual visits to Celtic Harmony, Verulamium and Buckingham Palace, besides welcoming workshops into school.
