Day in the life of Nursery

A typical day in the life of a Nursery child:

8:20–8:45Busy Fingers – activities to strengthen hands and fingers
8:45–9:00Welcome and Register, Nursery jobs, Daily Routine, Weather, Days of the Week
9:00–9:30Adult led activity including Jolly Phonics, French, Maths, Literacy, Outdoor Learning
9:30–10:20Outside Child Initiated Learning, (ChIL)
10:20–10:50Snack Time – healthy snack provided
10:50–11:00Daily Singing Time
11:00–11:30Inside Child Initiated Learning, (ChIL), twice a week Music lessons with a specialist teacher
11:30–11:45Story time, Star of the Day, ‘What’s Next’ certificates, Music and Movement
11: 45–Lunch‘Lunch and Play Session’ until 1:00 p.m. or ‘Afternoon Session’ until 3:10 p.m
11:45-12:00Morning only children enjoy quiet book and story time before dismissal

The Afternoon Session runs daily and follows a similar routine to the Morning Session.
