We spent a lovely sunny day at the Henry Moore foundation learning about the artist and his works. One of the highlights was a chance to view an exhibition of his drawings. We were particularly keen to see his drawings made during his time as a war artist. The girls had a guided tour around the workshops and grounds followed by a picnic lunch. We then enjoyed some sketching – sitting in the shade of the trees observing some of his larger works.
Well done to all the girls for being so interested in all that the guides had to tell us and for their impeccable behaviour.
Many thanks to Mrs McCann, Mrs Lipsett and Mrs Fereday for accompanying the trip.
