11th December 20
We kicked this week off with a very exciting Marble Jar Treat party! We have worked so very hard over the last half term that the girls and boys had a well earned treat! We played pass the parcel, musical bumps, musical statues and musical chairs! We also danced to Christmas songs and ate some party food!
On Tuesday morning we were very excited to dress up in our Nativity outfits and join the Reception and Form I girls to sing our Nativity songs and film the performance ready for sending home. We were absolutely brilliant and showed just how grown up we have become by learning the words and actions to the songs and waiting for our turn to sing each time.
On Wednesday everyone came to Nursery looking absolutely amazing in their Christmassy clothing! The classroom was full of sparkle and excited little people! We finished off the last of our Christmas activities during Busy Fingers and then we were joined by Madame Knight for our final French lesson of the year. We learned how to say Happy Christmas in French and also joined in with a funny song in French about two thumbs and their activities!
Just as we were practising our songs for our concert on Thursday we heard a strange sound! Mrs Radgman went to investigate and she found Father Christmas coming down the path! How jolly exciting!! He popped his head into the classroom and reminded us all to be good even left us with a present!
Later in the day we went into the dining room for our amazing Christmas lunch! This was the first time having lunch at school for some boys and girls and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves! We wore our Christmas hats that we made at lunchtime and then had a lovely play altogether in the Outdoor Classroom.
On Thursday, our last day of Nursery for the term, we began our day with filming the songs for our Christmas concert. The girls and boys sang absolutely beautifully and we were so very proud of them. All of the songs are available for you to watch on Tapestry.
Also the link to the Nativity performance which we took part in earlier in the week has been sent to you via email from the school office.
To finish off the last day everyone stayed at school a little longer and we had a spectacular lunch provided by the parents. The girls and boys enjoyed chatting and eating together and following the food we played a couple of party games.
We have thoroughly enjoyed teaching your children this term and we wish you all a happy holiday and we very much look forward to hearing all the children’s news in the new year!
