14th February 20
Monday morning was Show Morning to the whole school. We loved dressing up in our clown fish costumes and entertaining the older girls!
In the afternoon, we flew over the Australia. We took a tour around the Great Barrier Reef with David Attenborough. We couldn’t believe how many different types of fish and coral we saw. We used clay to make our own fish, imprinting and using clay and water to glue tails and fins on to them.
We performed amazingly well in our second performance of ‘Stella the Starfish!’
In the afternoon, we took so much time and care painting our clay fish from The Great Barrier Reef.
On Tuesday we carefully painted our clay fish using rainbow colours.
On Wednesday we used mixed media to collage hearts.
On Thursday we performed in the final showing of Stella The Starfish. We were fabulous, but very tired afterwards! We were very excited to be introduced to some stick insects that one of our friends brought to school to show us. We had trouble finding them amongst the ivy leaves.
In the afternoon, we made some muffin case fish in line with our topic this week on Australia and the Barrier Reef.
On Friday it was Valentine’s Day. We marked the occasion by icing and decorating some heart shaped biscuits. We enjoyed watching a clip of Finding Nemo in the afternoon, sharing cushions with our friends to celebrate filling our jar with so many shells over the last few weeks! Happy Half Term everyone, see you on Monday 24th February.
