Form V

Girls may enter the classroom from 8.20am onwards and registration is at 8.45am.  Each girl has a peg in the corridor outside and a locker inside the classroom.  As in Form IV, the school day ends at 3.45pm.  Form V takes the third lunch sitting (1.00 – 1.30pm).

In the Summer Term, Form V goes on a three-day Environmental Studies Field Trip to the Cranedale Centre in North Yorkshire.  Verbal reasoning is introduced to the curriculum during the Summer Term.  Shakespeare is also introduced to the curriculum.

A term of weekly German sessions is offered for girls who show a particular aptitude for languages.  This continues through Form VI, with a regular review of attendees.

This being the preparation year for external examinations, the School hosts an evening in the Christmas Term to which parents are invited for a presentation on Secondary School Transfer.  A mentor system is introduced after the Easter holiday.

Netball Club is continued this year and in the Summer Term tennis coaching is offered as a chargeable extra.
