Form I open their doors at 8.30am and registration is at 8.45am. The school day ends at 3.15pm. The girls have a drink and a snack in both the morning and the afternoon and attend the first lunch sitting (12noon – 12.30pm).
The curriculum includes English, Maths, Science, Art and Design, R.E., PSHCE, Geography and History. Extra support is provided by other members of staff who assist with English and Maths. Music, P.E., French, Computing and Drama are taught by specialist teachers.
Form I girls are permitted to wear a watch to school and bring their own pencil case.
Homework consists of reading and spelling. At this stage, individual music tuition are available on the piano, violin and cello.
The class is led by an experienced teacher with the support of a full-time Classroom Assistant.
Form I pupils may join the Junior choir which rehearses once a week during a break time.
