The House System

The School is divided into three Houses, each denoted by a colour.

LANCASTER : Red
WARWICK : Yellow
YORK : White

On admission to the School, each girl is allocated to a House. Sisters are kept in the same House. The House system fosters healthy competition in work, conduct, music and sport.

From Reception upwards, girls receive house points for good work or behaviour. Similarly, minus marks may be awarded for poor behaviour and poor work. The individual house points and minus marks are announced on a regular basis during assembly when the current house totals are also given.

The house points for the three terms determine the winner of the House Challenge Shield presented on Sports Day.

House colours are in evidence on Sports Day when the girls may wear a rose of their House’s colour in their blazer lapel.
